Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and drive innovation in the fast-paced e-commerce industry. The CTO will oversee the development, implementation, and scaling of digital platforms, ensuring seamless customer experiences, secure transactions, and robust technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
· Define and execute the company’s overall technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
· Lead engineering, product development, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data teams.
· Build scalable, high-performance e-commerce platforms, mobile apps, and backend systems.
· Drive digital transformation initiatives, including AI, automation, analytics, and cloud adoption.
· Ensure website/app uptime, speed optimization, and seamless customer journey.
· Oversee payment gateway integrations, order management systems, CRM, ERP, and logistics platforms.
· Implement cybersecurity best practices and ensure data privacy compliance.
· Manage vendor relationships, technology partnerships, and third-party integrations.
· Build, mentor, and retain high-performing technology teams.
· Collaborate with CEO, COO, Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to support growth strategy.
· Monitor emerging technology trends in e-commerce and recommend innovations.
· Manage technology budgets, resource planning, and ROI-driven investments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
· 15+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, preferably in e-commerce/retail.
· Strong expertise in e-commerce platforms, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP), APIs, and microservices.
· Experience with payment systems, cybersecurity, analytics, and customer-facing digital products.
· Proven track record of scaling platforms for high traffic and rapid business growth.
· Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
· Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience in marketplace or omnichannel retail models.
· Familiarity with AI personalization, recommendation engines, and customer data platforms.
· Exposure to international e-commerce operations.
