Company Description BookEat is a SaaS platform transforming the dining experience in Kazakhstan and beyond. The company helps restaurants increase efficiency and revenue by unifying table reservations, pre-ordering, and POS integration in a single system. By digitizing key restaurant workflows, BookEat supports smoother operations and better capacity management. For guests, the platform removes wait times and miscommunication, delivering a more reliable and enjoyable dining experience. BookEat is scaling its technology and operations to support rapid growth in the region and new markets.

Role Description As the Chief Technology Officer at BookEat, you will define and execute the overall technology vision and roadmap for the platform. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Almaty, working closely with the CEO and leadership team to align technical decisions with business goals.

You will lead teams in designing, developing, and operating scalable, secure SaaS products, ensuring high availability and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing software architecture, guiding product and technical decisions, and managing the delivery of new features and integrations.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Software Development, with hands-on experience leading engineering teams and delivering scalable SaaS products.
• Proven Project Management capabilities, including prioritization, roadmap ownership, and cross-functional coordination.
• Expertise in IT Strategy and Architecture, with the ability to design secure, resilient, and cost-effective systems.
• Experience in Product Development, partnering with product and business stakeholders to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Prior leadership experience in a senior technology role (CTO) in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Familiarity with modern cloud platforms, DevOps practices, CI/CD, and data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in hospitality, restaurant tech, or marketplace platforms is a plus.
