About the Role

The Chief Architect – Products & Platforms will be the custodian of i-TEK's technology architecture vision and strategy. The role is responsible for ensuring that all products, platforms, and technology ecosystems are architected to be:

• Scalable
• Extensible
• Configurable
• Secure
• API-first
• Cloud-native
• AI-ready
• Multi-tenant
• Globally deployable

The Chief Architect will establish the architectural foundations required to support both SaaS and dedicated enterprise deployments while enabling rapid innovation, platform extensibility, ecosystem participation, and faster go-to-market. This role requires a highly accomplished technology leader who has successfully conceptualized, architected, and scaled enterprise SaaS platforms, cloud-native systems, and modern distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architecture Vision & Strategy
• Define and own the long-term architecture vision for Garuda Vigil and Skanixa.
• Establish architecture principles, standards, patterns, and governance frameworks.
• Drive technology decisions aligned with business objectives and product strategy.
• Create a multi-year technology roadmap supporting scalability, innovation, and global expansion.
• Ensure architectural consistency across all engineering initiatives.
• Platform Architecture
• Architect Garuda Vigil as a globally scalable enterprise platform.
• Build reusable horizontal platform capabilities supporting multiple industries and use cases.
• Ensure platforms remain configurable and extensible while minimizing customization overhead.
• Drive platform-first thinking across engineering teams.
• Create architectural foundations enabling rapid rollout of new capabilities and use cases.
• SaaS & Multi-Tenant Architecture
• Define and own multi-tenant architecture strategy.
• Establish tenant isolation and security models.
• Architect global SaaS deployment patterns.
• Design for elasticity, resilience, observability, and scalability.
• Ensure platforms can support SaaS, dedicated customer deployments, and hybrid operating models.
• AI Architecture & AI-Assisted Engineering
• Define i-TEK's AI architecture strategy.
• Establish architecture patterns for AI-enabled products and capabilities.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools to improve developer productivity and time-to-market.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and their applicability across Garuda Vigil and Skanixa.
• Ensure AI initiatives align with enterprise-grade security and governance requirements.
• Data & Analytics Architecture
• Define enterprise data architecture.
• Establish event-driven architecture and data streaming frameworks.
• Design analytics and reporting architecture.
• Build foundations for future AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics capabilities.
• Define data governance and data quality standards.
• API & Ecosystem Architecture
• Define API-first architecture principles.
• Build frameworks enabling partner, customer, and ecosystem integration.
• Establish SDK and developer enablement strategies.
• Create architecture supporting ecosystem extensibility and third-party innovation.
• Ensure seamless integration with ERP, WMS, POS, supply chain, and enterprise systems.
• Edge & Embedded Architecture
• Work closely with embedded engineering teams to define architecture standards for Skanixa.
• Establish integration patterns between edge devices and cloud platforms.
• Define architecture for remote device management, diagnostics, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure scalability and maintainability of distributed edge deployments.
• Security & Compliance Architecture
• Establish secure-by-design architecture principles.
• Define security architecture standards across products and platforms.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security, privacy, and governance requirements.
• Drive architecture decisions that strengthen resilience and operational reliability.
• Architecture Governance
• Chair the Architecture Review Board.
• Approve critical design decisions and architecture standards.
• Conduct architecture reviews and risk assessments.
• Ensure adherence to architecture principles and best practices.
• Create governance mechanisms balancing innovation and technical discipline.

• Establish a technology evaluation and adoption framework.
