Chief Information Officer

Job Title: Chief Information Officer (CIO) Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the IT strategy and operations of our engineering college in TN, with ~12K students, as it transitions to a university.

The CIO will work closely with academic and administrative teams to drive innovation, efficiency, and growth through technology

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement IT strategy aligned with college/university goals

Manage IT infrastructure, operations, and services

Collaborate with academic and administrative teams on IT initiatives

Oversee IT budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation

Ensure data security, compliance, and IT governance

Drive digital transformation and innovation in teaching, learning, and administration

Must-have Skills: Master’s degree in IT/Computer Science or related field Minimum 10 years of experience in managing projects in academic institutions or IT companies Hands-on experience in executing projects end-to-end

Strong understanding of academic/administrative processes Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Experience with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and budget management

Qualifications & Experience

• Master degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
