Patanjali Herbal Research Division works on documentation, analysis, designing and project executions of different themes in the alignment of aims and scope of Patanjali institutions. Around 150 well trained scientists with different expertise in Botany, Taxonomy, Microbiology, Biotechnology, etc. Work together on several academic research projects related to plant - based medicine, yoga and any such related field towards conducting extensive research for scientific and empirical evidence in support of therapeutic effects of selected areas. Several research and review articles are published in journals of national as well as international repute having a global visibility for Yoga and Ayurveda with supportive and authenticated data. This division aims to develop systematized and validated research work that shall be highly useful for scientists, researchers and industry experts engaged in the work related to research, development and promotion of Yoga and Ayurveda.

Job Summary for Chief General Manager – Sludge Management & Operations

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead sludge management projects, biofertiliser operations and plant management activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project execution, plant operations, procurement, commercial activities and business development while ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and profitability.

Qualification & Experience

  • Master's degree in Microbiology, Bioprocess Engineering/Agriculture Biotechnology, or related field.
  • MBA (Operations/Marketing) will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sludge management, wastewater treatment, biofertiliser production, waste management or related industries.
  • Proven experience in plant operations and project management.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, commercial negotiations and supply chain management.
  • Experience in marketing assistance is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, quality systems and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Lead end-to-end sludge management and biofertiliser plant operations.
  • Ensure efficient production planning, quality control, safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage plant performance, maintenance, manpower and process optimization.
  • Develop procurement strategies for raw materials and oversee buying activities.
  • Drive sales and business development for biofertiliser and related products.
  • Build relationships with customers, suppliers, government agencies and industrial partners.
  • Negotiate commercial contracts for buying and selling.
  • Prepare operational reports, budgets and performance metrics.
  • Lead and mentor plant and operations teams.
