Job Description
Organization Overview: A Child’s Hope Foundation (ACHF)
A Child’s Hope Foundation (ACHF) is a mission driven nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives and long term outcomes of orphaned and vulnerable children around the world by strengthening the systems that care for them. Rather than operating orphanages directly, the organization partners with child welfare organizations, practitioners, and governments to help shift global care systems toward family based models that prioritize the safety, dignity, and well being of children.
Over the past two decades, ACHF has evolved from its early roots supporting orphan care initiatives in Haiti into a global organization focused on developing practical tools and partnerships that strengthen care environments. The organization’s work centers on helping child care providers assess their current practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and share best practices from diverse global contexts to implement systemic changes that ultimately support the reunification of children with their families.
Today, the foundation’s work centers on three integrated pillars: Connect, Train, and Fund.
- Connect: Through its Thrive Collective, ACHF convenes a global community of grassroots organizations, NGOs, practitioners, and government leaders working in child welfare.
- Train: The foundation trains caregivers and child-serving organizations using its Thrive tools and internationally informed frameworks, helping partners assess their practices and implement roadmaps that improve outcomes for children.
- Fund: ACHF funds targeted initiatives within vetted partner organizations, supporting areas such as education, psychological care, and social services that are often overlooked but essential for children’s long-term wellbeing.
Today, ACHF operates with an annual budget of approximately $3M and is preparing for significant growth, with a strategic vision to scale to $10 million in annual funding in the coming years. ACHF is building a scalable model that combines assessment tools, training resources, collaborative networks, and targeted implementation support. By bringing together best practices and practical guidance, the organization aims to equip partners across the world with the knowledge and resources needed to improve child welfare systems and expand family based care. Guided by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a safe, loving environment, the foundation works to bring practical solutions to places where few proven pathways currently exist - improving lives one child, one home, and one family at a time.
