Are you an experienced accounting leader looking for a strategic role within a stable corporate group? We are seeking a reliable and highly skilled Chief Accountant to oversee the financial and accounting operations of our multi-company partner in Budapest.

Job description

• Leadership: Direct and organize the daily work of the accounting and finance department
• Full-Cycle Accounting: Coordinate comprehensive accounting tasks, including monthly/year-end closures and consolidated annual reports
• Tax & Compliance: Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, KSH reports, and transfer pricing documentation
• Audit & Control: Prepare for and coordinate statutory audits and official inspections; develop internal control processes
• Strategic Support: Provide professional advice to management on accounting issues and ensure the financial system (ERP) settings are optimized
• Asset Management: Manage inventory processes and fixed asset registers

Requirements

• Education: University or College degree in Finance or Accounting
• Certification: Registered Chartered Accountant status is a must
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including several years in a leadership/supervisory role
• Languages: Fluent English skills
• Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills and up-to-date knowledge of Hungarian accounting and tax regulations
• Competencies: Proactive, agile personality with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
