Role Description The Chemistry Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, concept-driven chemistry lessons to students in an on-site setting in Amritsar. In this full-time role, the teacher will plan and structure lessons aligned with the curriculum, conduct classroom instruction, and use a variety of teaching methods to make complex topics accessible. Daily responsibilities include preparing teaching materials, explaining theoretical and practical aspects of chemistry, assessing student performance through tests and assignments, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will maintain classroom discipline, support individual learning needs, and collaborate with colleagues and academic coordinators to enhance overall educational outcomes. Participation in faculty meetings, parent interactions, and academic events will also be part of the regular duties.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Chemistry Education and Teaching skills, with experience delivering curriculum-aligned lessons at school or coaching-institute level.
  • Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning and classroom management skills to structure lessons, track progress, and support diverse learning styles.
  • Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in related sciences such as Physics to support interdisciplinary learning where needed.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related field; a recognized teaching qualification or B.Ed. is preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience at secondary or senior secondary level, especially in competitive exam preparation (e.g., board exams, entrance tests), is an advantage.
  • Ability to use basic educational technology and digital tools to supplement classroom teaching.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning, empathy, and continuous professional development.
