Job Description
Job Purpose
Responsible for Procurement & Category Management of IT Products (Cloud, Compute, Network, Security, Storage, Back-up, Software / Hardware, Professional Managed Services etc.) for Data center business
Role Description
Key Responsibilities
- Managing complete PR to PO process including RFPs, obtaining offers, Comparative evaluations, Negotiations, Placement of Purchase Orders & Logistics.
- Managing Category by Strategic sourcing, Budgeting, New Vendor developments, Vendor Rationalization, Rate Contracts, Partnership Agreements, Vendor Management etc.
- Cost Effective Procurement within the budgeted cost / targets, Opex v/s Capex evaluation, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) evaluation.
- Obtain approvals according to Delegation of Authority.
- Ensuring TAT to adhere timely actions for PR to PO process.
- Managing Vendor On-boarding process & Vendor Assessment to ensure their capabilities / quality, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with Vendors.
- Contract Formulations, Preparing Terms & Conditions of Purchase Order, SLA finalization & Contract Management.
- Ensuring OTIF-Delivery of supplies & services as per the Contract terms.
- Cost Estimation, Forecasting, Price Trend Analysis for the Category items.
- MIS report submission on monthly basis, Spend Analysis.
- Vendor Performance Evaluation & Monitoring on regular intervals.
- Ensuring Procurement Compliance as per Internal Finance Control guidelines, ISO compliances adherence.
- Smooth Coordination with various internal & external stakeholders.
- Support Pre-sales team for various RFPs & Bids.
- Knowledge of SAP-MM Module.
- Team Management, People Development.

Qualifications and Experience
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (degree, training, or certification required)
BE/B-Tech or equivalent with Computer Science or Electronics & Communication or Electrical Engineering. MBA-Operations/Supply Chain will be added advantage
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required)
- 15 years+ procurement experience in relevant category.
- Must have experience on SAP-MM Module for minimum 5 years.
- Must be aware of Software licensing model, other licensing models of Support & Services.
- Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT).
- Familiarity of ISO 9K / 14K / 45K / 20K / 22K / 27K would be added advantage.
- Should be excellent in communication skills (written & verbal).
- Should be target oriented, time bound and achieve goals.
- Should possess good Interpersonal Skills, Problem Solving attitude, Critical Thinking, Collaborative approach, Persuasive skills & Analytical skills.
- Must have high standards of integrity & ethics.
- Good Team player & go-getter.
- Relevant experience in similar industry of Data Centre would be added advantage.
