Role Description The Carrier Counsellor is a full-time, hybrid role based in Durg, with flexibility for some work-from-home tasks. The role involves guiding students and professionals on suitable educational and career pathways by understanding their interests, strengths, and goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining course options and training programs, maintaining accurate records of consultations, and following up with prospective learners. The Carrier Counsellor collaborates with the marketing and sales teams to support outreach activities, respond to inquiries via phone, email, and social media, and participate in webinars or seminars when needed. The role also includes preparing basic informational materials, updating counseling resources, and providing clear, unbiased advice to help individuals make informed decisions.
Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills to effectively counsel and guide students and professionals.
• Ability to assess individuals’ interests and aptitudes, and map them to appropriate courses, career paths, and training opportunities.
• Basic understanding of digital marketing, IT, and related career opportunities, with the ability to explain these options in simple terms.
• Organizational and time-management skills for handling multiple inquiries, maintaining records, and managing follow-ups.
• Comfort with using computers, online tools, and social media platforms to communicate, schedule sessions, and share information.
• Relevant educational background in counseling, psychology, education, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in academic counseling, career guidance, admissions, or student support services is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a team, adapt to a dynamic environment, and maintain a supportive, non-judgmental approach to all clients.
