About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Cargo Sales Manager to lead our commercial efforts in Delhi. In this role, you will be responsible for driving cargo revenue growth, managing key forwarder relationships, and positioning our partner airlines as top-tier choices in the market. If you have a proven track record in air freight sales, a strong network in the logistics industry, and a passion for aviation, we want you on our team.
Responsibilities
- Revenue Generation: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed cargo revenue targets for our partner airlines.
- Client Management: Build, maintain, and scale strong relationships with top-tier freight forwarders, key accounts, and direct shippers.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and capacity fluctuations to identify new business opportunities and adjust commercial strategies.
- Rate Negotiation: Structure and negotiate spot rates, long-term contracts, and block space agreements (BSAs) to maximize yield and flight load factors.
- Team Collaboration: Partner closely with the Cargo Customer Service & Reservations team and operational stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of booked shipments.
- Performance Reporting: Analyze sales data, prepare revenue forecasts, and present performance reports to senior management and airline principals.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in Air Cargo Sales, Freight Forwarding commercial roles, or GSSA operations.
- Industry Network: A robust, established network of freight forwarders and logistics players in the regional market (North/West India).
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of air freight pricing structures, market dynamics, IATA regulations, and trade lane economics.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations) and familiarity with CRM tools and Cargo Reservation Systems.
- Leadership & Mindset: Strong business acumen, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure, target-driven environment.
