Job Summary As a Senior QA Mobile Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our mobile applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests for our mobile applications on various platforms (iOS and Android). You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to identify test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. This role requires a deep understanding of mobile automation frameworks, a strong analytical mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software. Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using tools like Appium, Espresso, and XCTest. Ensure the reliability and efficiency of test automation frameworks. Maintain test documentation, including plans, cases, and reports. Provide updates on test status, progress, and issues to stakeholders. Collaborate to define test strategies, plans, and cases. Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects. Implement QA best practices and standards. Recommend and integrate new tools and technologies. Mentor junior QA engineers on automation and testing methodologies. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on mobile automation testing and manual testing. Have 2+ years of experience in Database and writing complex queries using MySQL or similar databases Proficiency in at least one mobile automation framework (Appium, Espresso, XCTest, etc.). Have in depth knowledge on writing Test Cases and Test Scenarios. Having knowledge on JIRA or similar tracking tools. Strong programming skills in languages such as Java or Python. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI. Solid understanding of mobile development processes and best practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Desired Qualifications Having experience working in the Financial Services domain (good if it's in capital markets) is an added advantage. Experience with performance testing and profiling of mobile applications. Familiarity with cloud-based mobile testing platforms (e.g., AWS Device Farm, Firebase Test Lab). Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus. (ref:hirist.tech)
