Role Description The Cafe Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at our café in Indore. This role oversees daily café operations, including supervising staff, managing schedules, ensuring high-quality beverage and food preparation, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for guests. The Cafe Manager will monitor inventory, place orders with suppliers, manage cash handling and POS operations, and ensure adherence to hygiene and safety standards. They will lead the team in delivering excellent customer service, handle guest queries and feedback, and drive sales through thoughtful menu recommendations and promotions. The role also involves supporting community-building initiatives, coordinating small events or collaborations, and upholding Siolim’s commitment to sustainability and specialty coffee excellence.


Qualifications

  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating welcoming, memorable guest experiences.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with guests, guiding team members, and coordinating with suppliers and management.
  • Hands-on experience in food & beverage or food service operations, preferably in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant environment.
  • Sales skills to promote menu items, specialty coffees, and café offerings while meeting revenue targets.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role in hospitality is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic coffee brewing methods; interest in specialty coffee and willingness to learn advanced techniques.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage shifts, inventory, and multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and basic health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak café times.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or barista training is an advantage.
