C++ Lead Developer – Telecom & Networking Systems

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced C++ Lead / Senior Developer with strong expertise in C++, Unix/Linux environments, Telecom/Networking systems, and enterprise application development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting mission-critical applications running on Linux and Solaris platforms while providing technical leadership to development teams.

The role requires a combination of software development, production support, troubleshooting, networking knowledge, database expertise, and DevOps practices. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performing solutions within Telecom and Networking environments.

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or equivalent

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, enhance, and maintain complex C++ and Java applications on Linux and Solaris platforms.
• Lead development teams and provide technical guidance in Unix-based environments.
• Support Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams through code fixes, troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis.
• Participate in application vulnerability remediation and compliance initiatives.
• Analyze and resolve production incidents while ensuring service stability and performance.
• Design, develop, and optimize database interactions using Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL technologies.
• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot web and application servers including Apache HTTPD, NGINX, Tomcat, and JBoss.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to support CI/CD implementation and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Drive performance optimization, system reliability, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices.
• Participate in technical discussions, solution reviews, and architecture recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and software development best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in software development and support.
• Strong hands-on experience in C++ development within Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience leading development teams or mentoring engineers.
• Experience in Telecom and Networking domains.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
