Job Description

Our client is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and commercially minded Business Analyst to support cross-functional initiatives that improve business performance, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. This role will serve as a key partner to business leaders, product teams, operations, and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights, requirements, process improvements, and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical rigor with stakeholder management, process mapping, documentation, and problem-solving capabilities, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and business impact matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, define, and document business requirements for operational, product, systems, and process-related initiatives.
  • Analyze existing business workflows, identify inefficiencies, risks, and gaps, and recommend practical improvements that align with organizational goals.
  • Develop business requirement documents, user stories, process maps, current-state and future-state workflows, and functional specifications.
  • Support business case development by evaluating operational impact, resource needs, process implications, and expected return on investment.
  • Translate complex business problems into structured analytical frameworks and actionable recommendations for leadership teams.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis using business data to identify trends, performance drivers, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create dashboards, reporting frameworks, KPI definitions, and recurring performance reviews to support more effective decision-making.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, operations, and go-to-market teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and solutions meet business objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, and requirements review meetings to align priorities and clarify scope.
  • Support implementation efforts by coordinating testing, validating business outcomes, and ensuring delivered solutions align with documented requirements.
  • Assist in user acceptance testing, issue tracking, change requests, and post-launch reviews to improve adoption and business value realization.
  • Document policies, procedures, business rules, and process standards to improve consistency, governance, and cross-functional execution.
  • Monitor project and initiative outcomes against defined success metrics and recommend iterative enhancements based on performance and feedback.
  • Serve as a liaison between business teams and technical teams, ensuring strong communication, shared understanding, and timely issue resolution.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by surfacing insights from market, customer, operational, and internal business data.
  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Operations, Analytics, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, Strategy Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role.
    • Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
    • Strong proficiency in process mapping, workflow analysis, root-cause analysis, and problem structuring.
    • Experience using Excel, SQL, BI tools, or other reporting and analytical platforms to generate business insights.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and operate independently in a dynamic environment.
    • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives involving operations, systems, process improvement, or product change.
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance tactical execution and strategic thinking.
  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in SaaS, technology, fintech, healthcare tech, marketplace, or other fast-scaling digital businesses.
    • Familiarity with Agile environments and working with product, engineering, or technical delivery teams.
    • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
    • Exposure to CRM, ERP, ticketing, or workflow systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
    • Certification or training in business analysis, project management, Lean, Six Sigma, or related disciplines.
    • Experience building executive-level presentations, business cases, and performance review materials.
