Contract to Hire


  • The Business Systems Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance process efficiency, streamline operations, and support organizational change. The role supports initiatives that optimize systems and processes while promoting adoption through clear communication and collaboration.
  • The analyst participates in cross-functional projects from planning to deployment, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Responsibilities include collecting, documenting, and analyzing business and technical requirements, with a strong focus on data flow, integrations, and system processes.
  • Requires technical understanding of programming and database concepts, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities


  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Serve as liaison between business and technical teams to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements. Facilitate walkthroughs with engineering teams and coordinate user acceptance testing.
  • Documentation: Develop detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) outlining scope, objectives, and functional specifications. Ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Create and execute UAT test cases based on business requirements to validate functionality.
  • Strong Comprehension and Communication Skills: Communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats with stakeholders and technical partners. Drive communication planning and execution to ensure stakeholder engagement and alignment. Capture accurate and detailed meeting notes, decisions, and action items to support effective follow-up. Facilitate communications with both business and IT partners to align requirements, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Technical and Data Analysis Skills: Must be able to analyze data flows, integrations, and system dependencies to support accurate system behavior. Requires technical understanding of programming and database fundamentals to effectively communicate with technical teams.
  • Analytical Thinking and Action-Oriented: Must possess high attention to details; interpret business and technical communications to identify required actions and deliverables; track solution effectiveness and recommend process improvements; understand how individual tasks contribute to broader business objectives and demonstrate strategic awareness.
  • Dependability and Time Management: Consistently meet deadlines and follow through on commitments.
  • Availability and Responsiveness: Maintain regular availability during core business hours and be responsive to team needs and communications.
  • Integrity and Professionalism: Conduct work with honesty, transparency, and accountability in all professional interactions.


Qualifications

Education and Experience: Minimum

Education and Experience: Preferred

  • BS in Engineering, related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering field or Business Administration (MBA).


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Competencies


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years related experience.
  • Candidate must be skilled in developing and managing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) that align with stakeholder expectations and guide implementation.
  • Candidate must have technical understanding of programming and database concepts, data flows, system processes and integrations, and have quantitative and qualitative analytical, problem solving and research skills, as well as high attention to detail.
  • Candidate must have business analysis proficiency, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable plans and solutions.
  • Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidate must be able to coordinate requirements walk-through with engineering teams and user acceptance testing with stakeholders.
  • Candidate must be able to quickly react, analyze and adapt to business partner needs, and adjust the product requirements accordingly.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently; have general knowledge of the business practices and processes.
  • Candidate must be able to collaborate and develop positive relationships with all cross-functional teams.
