Overview

We are seeking a Business Segment Sales Manager to lead the commercial strategy and growth of a key business segment within our organization.


Reporting directly to the General Manager, this highly visible role offers the opportunity to own a market segment, develop a sales team, and influence pricing, customer strategy, and long-term business direction.


This is an ideal opportunity for a sales leader who thrives in a hands-on, high-impact environment and wants to play a meaningful role in driving business performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the commercial strategy for an assigned business segment
  • Develop, coach, and manage a team including Sales Engineers, Inside Sales, and Outside Sales Representatives
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and agreements
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive market expansion
  • Analyze market trends, applications, and growth opportunities
  • Develop and manage pricing strategies, margins, and profitability
  • Review and approve quotations to ensure competitiveness and financial performance
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering and operations to resolve cost, quality, and customer issues
  • Track and analyze sales performance versus forecast and adjust strategy as needed
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, technical sales, or industrial manufacturing
  • Demonstrated success in a sales leadership or team development role
  • Strong ability to build relationships and close complex, technical deals
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to execute in a hands-on environment


Preferred:

  • Experience in coatings, thermal spray, aerospace, or related industries
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

OR

  • Equivalent experience (10+ years in sales with leadership experience)


Minimum Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR/EAR
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
