Business Finance Manager

*Please note this role would be for Softsens Division.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Own and manage the books of accounts, ensuring accurate monthly closing and preparation of financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and statutory requirements.

Statutory Compliance

• Coordinate with auditors and consultants for statutory filings and audits.
• Manage and ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESI, and ROC regulations.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to support business decision-making.
• Monitor financial performance and highlight risks and opportunities

Working Capital & Cash Flow Management

• Manage cash flows, working capital cycles, and payment planning to ensure financial efficiency
• Track receivables, payables, and optimize liquidity.

Product Costing & Profitability Analysis

• Drive product costing, BOM validation, and SKU-level margin analysis.
• Monitor profitability across product categories and recommend corrective actions.

Channel & Marketplace Financial Management

• Track profitability by General Trade, Modern Trade, D2C, and Marketplace channels.
• Analyze marketplace commissions, advertising spends, logistics costs, and return-related expenses.

MIS & Business Insights

• Develop MIS dashboards and analytical reports to support decision-making for Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams.
• Provide actionable insights on financial performance and operational efficiency.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• 10-12 years of experience in Finance roles within FMCG, Consumer Goods, E-commerce, or Retail organizations.
• Prior start-up experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of E-commerce & Quick commerce unit economics and channel profitability.
• Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel / dashboards
• Hands-on, execution-oriented approach with problem-solving capability.
