Job Description

We are looking for a high-ownership Business Finance professional to manage Financial Planning & Business Finance for the Cloud Business vertical within the group. This role requires strong fundamentals in P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, deep comfort with financial modelling, and the ability to convert financial + operational data into clear business insights and actions.

You will work closely with business CXOs and senior stakeholders to drive planning, forecasting, performance tracking, and key strategic initiatives for the vertical.

Key Responsibilities

1) Planning, Forecasting & Business Performance

• Build and manage financial models for past performance tracking (Plan vs Actual) and forward projections (forecast / outlook).
• Drive budgeting and forecasting cycles for the Cloud business, including rolling forecasts and periodic revisions.
• Develop financial plans and support management in defining profitability targets, return metrics, and growth priorities.
• Review actual performance against budgets/targets and highlight variance drivers, risks, and corrective actions.

2) Reporting & CXO Stakeholder Management

• Own weekly and monthly finance cadence with business leadership:
• Drive meeting agendas and pre-reads
• Share insights, risks, and decisions required
• Track action items and follow through to closure
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting decks for CXO leadership with crisp, actionable insights.
• Translate financial and operational KPIs into strategic insights to support business growth and decision-making.

3) P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet & Governance

• Maintain strong oversight of P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet dynamics for the vertical.
• Review profit and loss statements, cash, and balance sheet movements to ensure financial integrity and highlight concerns early.
• Track vertical-wise profitability on a regular basis and provide structured insights to leadership.

4) Capital Budgets & Strategic Initiatives

• Monitor and validate capital budgets for business units to ensure timely execution and prevent slippages.
• Track and execute key management strategic projects and ensure delivery within tight timelines.
• Drive strategic and key management initiatives with structured tracking and closure ownership.

5) Commercials, Contracts & Cost Control

• Inspect and approve vendor contracts and key account expenses for the vertical.
• Ensure cost governance and spending controls are aligned with business priorities and approved budgets.
• Partner with stakeholders to improve commercial discipline and ensure financial hygiene.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• 1–3 years of post-qualification experience in Business Finance / FP&A / Corporate Finance / Financial Planning

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Business Finance / FP&A: Strong hands-on understanding of FP&A and ability to influence decisions through insights.
• Financial Modelling: Advanced Excel-based modelling; ability to build structured forecasts, budgets, and scenario analysis.
• Reporting & Analysis: Strong command over variance analysis, monthly reviews, ad-hoc analysis, and leadership-ready reporting.
• AOP & Budgeting: Experience collaborating with stakeholders to build and deliver AOPs aligned to business objectives.
• Forecasting: Strong capability in rolling forecasts and revising assumptions based on business drivers.
• Data-driven decision-making: Comfortable working with complex data sets and converting them into clear business narratives.
• Systems exposure: Familiarity with ERP / FP&A tools (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
• Executive communication: Ability to present crisply, drive closure, and operate with high ownership.
