Mars Cosmetics is one of India's fastest-growing beauty brands with presence across Ecommerce (Amazon, Nykaa, Quick Commerce), General Trade, Modern Trade, and Exclusive Brand Outlets. With 800+ SKUs across multiple categories, the company is scaling rapidly and is looking to strengthen its financial systems, reporting discipline, and commercial analytics capabilities. We are looking for a Business Finance Controller who can bring structure, discipline, and financial intelligence to the organization while supporting high-growth operations.

Role Overview

The Business Finance Controller will be responsible for bringing financial discipline, building robust reporting systems, and enabling data-driven decision making across the business. This role is both operational and strategic, requiring someone who can clean up financial systems, build strong financial processes, and drive commercial insights across multiple sales channels. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working in a fast-growing environment where systems are evolving and requires someone who can build and improve processes from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Systems & Process Strengthening - One of the key priorities of this role will be to bring structure and discipline to financial reporting and systems. Responsibilities include: Strengthening financial reporting systems and internal controls Improving data accuracy across accounting, inventory, and sales systems. Streamlining financial processes across teams Working with internal teams to standardize financial reporting and MIS Ensuring clean and reliable P&L reporting across business channels The ideal candidate should be comfortable fixing imperfect systems and building scalable financial structures.

2. Channel Profitability & Commercial Finance- Build visibility into profitability across multiple sales channels Ecommerce (Amazon, Nykaa, Flipkart) Quick Commerce (Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart) General Trade Modern Trade Exclusive Brand Outlets. Responsibilities include: Channel-wise revenue and contribution margin analysis Identifying profit leakage across platforms Monitoring discounting and trade spend discipline Supporting pricing and promotion decisions.

3. SKU-Level Profitability & Product Analytics - With 800+ SKUs, strong product economics analysis is critical. Responsibilities include: SKU-level margin analysis Product portfolio profitability tracking Identifying high performing vs underperforming SKUs Supporting product and pricing decisions with financial insights.

4. Marketing & Growth ROI - Work closely with marketing and ecommerce teams to evaluate growth efficiency. Responsibilities include: Monitoring marketing spend efficiency across channels Evaluating Amazon ads, Nykaa campaigns, and influencer spends Supporting data-driven marketing investment decisions.

5. Financial Planning & Forecasting - Responsibilities include: Annual budgeting and rolling forecasts Revenue and margin forecasting Scenario modelling and business planning Working capital and cash flow planning.

6. Business Intelligence & Financial Dashboards - Develop strong financial visibility across the business. Responsibilities include: Building financial dashboards for leadership Tracking channel profitability and SKU margins Monitoring inventory ageing and stock cover Tracking Daily Run Rate (DRR) vs inventory levels.

Experience 6-10 years experience in Business Finance / Commercial Finance / FP&A Experience in FMCG, beauty, consumer, retail, or ecommerce businesses Experience working in high-growth or scaling companies.

Preferred Education - CA / MBA Finance / equivalent

Skills Required

-Strong financial modelling and analytical ability

-Ability to work with large, imperfect datasets and improve reporting quality

-Experience building financial systems and reporting frameworks

-Strong Excel skills and experience with Power BI or analytics tools
