Role Description The Business Development Officer role at Emoha is a full-time, on-site position based in Bhubaneswar. This is a Field Sales Role, that involves meeting doctors, nurses, hospital stakeholders to establish strategic relationships and drive referrals for eldercare and home healthcare. Further, one will have to interact with elder families / patients to counsel them on the services and products and convert them into paying customers.


The role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building partnerships with hospitals, doctors, and expanding Emoha’s presence among senior communities, healthcare providers, and related stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting prospective referrers and clients, maintaining strong relationships with existing vendor partners, coordinating with internal teams to align service offerings, and ensuring high standards of customer service in all interactions. The role also includes tracking sales pipelines, preparing reports for leadership, and contributing to strategic initiatives that enhance Emoha’s impact on seniors’ lives.


Qualifications


  • Strong new business development and partnership-building skills, with the ability to identify, pursue, and convert growth opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to engage diverse stakeholders and provide a positive experience to clients and partners.
  • Experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in healthcare, senior services, or technology-based platforms.
  • Strong networks in healthcare with Doctors and Hospitals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work on-site in cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet targets within defined timelines.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and basic data reporting; familiarity with digital platforms and apps is beneficial.
  • Commitment to ethical, inclusive practices and a genuine interest in improving the quality of life for seniors.
