Role Description The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and expanding the company’s market presence in the packaging industry. This full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram involves prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts to achieve sales and revenue targets. The role includes close collaboration with internal teams such as production, operations, and finance to ensure solutions meet customer requirements and are delivered effectively. The Business Development Manager will also monitor market trends, analyze competitor activities, participate in industry events, and prepare regular reports on pipeline status and performance.
Qualifications
  • Strong business development, sales, and client relationship management skills, with a focus on B2B markets.
  • Experience in market research, lead generation, and opportunity assessment within manufacturing or packaging sectors.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and commercial offers.
  • Solid negotiation, contract management, and deal-closing capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Proficiency in basic office productivity and CRM tools to manage pipelines and track customer interactions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and building long-term customer partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and sound commercial judgment.
  • Comfort working on-site in Gurugram, with readiness for client visits and occasional travel as required.
