Company Description Shimnit New Fire Engineers Pvt. Ltd. (SNF) is a strategic joint venture between Shimnit India Pvt. Ltd. and New Fire Engineers Pvt. Ltd., focused on advancing fire safety in the mobility sector. SNF designs and manufactures automatic Fire Detection and Suppression Systems for buses and commercial vehicles, using modern technology to mitigate contemporary fire risks. Its purpose-built solutions are engineered for seamless integration and dependable performance in demanding automotive environments, including conventional and electric mobility.
Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Worli, responsible for driving growth across SNF’s fire detection and suppression solutions for the mobility sector. This role includes identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing relationships with OEMs, fleet operators, and other key stakeholders, and managing the sales pipeline from lead generation to contract closure. The Business Development Manager will prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, coordinate product demonstrations, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to align offerings with customer requirements. The role also involves monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments, preparing regular reports and forecasts, and contributing to strategic planning and go-to-market initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include on-site meetings, customer visits, attending industry events, and ensuring high standards of customer service and account management.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Experience in customer relationship management and key account management within automotive, mobility, or industrial safety sectors.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts related to fire detection and suppression systems, automotive components, or engineering solutions.
- Proficiency in market research, competitor analysis, and preparation of sales forecasts and business reports.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and deliver clear proposals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent business qualification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in OEM sales, B2B industrial products, or safety systems is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Vasai, travel to customer locations as needed, and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams.
- Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working with targets, timelines, and structured reporting.
