Role Overview

The Business Development Manager – B2C (SLBS) will be responsible for driving individual customer acquisition, revenue growth, and brand penetration by selling Marklance’s learning solutions directly to students, parents, and working professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive B2C sales through leads generated via marketing, digital campaigns, and referrals
  • Counsel students, parents, and learners on suitable courses and learning solutions
  • Convert inbound and outbound leads into enrollments through calls, demos, and follow-ups
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, conversions, and interactions in CRM
  • Build trust-based relationships with customers to ensure high conversion and retention
  • Participate in sales events, webinars, and promotional activities
  • Coordinate with marketing and product teams for feedback and improvement
  • Handle objections, negotiations, and closure effectively
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • 2–6 years of experience in B2C sales / EdTech sales / Inside sales
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills
  • Target-driven mindset with a passion for sales
  • Ability to understand learner needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Comfortable with high-volume calling and follow-ups
  • Experience using CRM tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in EdTech, Online Courses, Test Prep, or Skill Development
  • Experience handling students, parents, or working professionals
  • Knowledge of sales funnels, lead management, and conversion metrics
