Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) with hands-on expertise in online bidding platforms. This is a full-time, remote role focused on acquiring software and digital projects through platforms such as Upwork, Freelancer, Fiverr, PeoplePerHour, and LinkedIn.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end business development—from identifying suitable projects and submitting winning bids to client communication, negotiation, and deal closure. You will work closely with our technical team to align project scope, timelines, and pricing.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively bid on online platforms such as Upwork, Freelancer, Fiverr, PeoplePerHour, and LinkedIn
- Identify relevant projects in web development, mobile apps, CRM, billing software, UI/UX, and digital marketing
- Write customized, high-conversion proposals
- Communicate with clients to gather requirements and qualify leads
- Negotiate pricing, timelines, and project scope
- Close deals and ensure proper handover to the delivery team
- Maintain a pipeline of active leads and prospects
- Track bid performance, responses, and conversions
- Build long-term client relationships and generate repeat business
Qualifications
- Proven experience in online bidding for IT / software projects
- Strong understanding of software development and digital services
- Excellent proposal writing and negotiation skills
- Experience handling international clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience closing projects on Upwork or Freelancer
- Knowledge of pricing models (fixed price, hourly, retainer)
- Familiarity with CRM tools and bid-tracking workflows
