Business Analyst (IT IT Project Management) Job Description

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in bridging business needs with IT project delivery. This position requires strong customer interface and relationship management skills, with proven ability to perform effectively in senior analyst roles and provide guidance to peer and junior resources.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Defining high level applications, relationships, flows, and implementation of business processes, activities, functions, and information systems.
• Creating business and system use cases, functional specifications, and independently developing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) that outline project scope, costs, objectives, milestones, and timelines.
• Analyzing complex and novel situations, anticipating potential problems and future trends, and assessing opportunities, impacts, and risks to deliver effective solutions.
• Overseeing acceptance testing, contributing to user guides, delivering training, and supporting users in developing work processes.
• Collaborating with the Scrum Master to track sprint progress (Sprint log, variance between planned and deployed user stories).
• Participating in resolution of functional issues during post production cutover periods.
• Operating under limited supervision of Senior/Lead Business Analysts.
  
  

Industry Experience

• Prior experience working with clients in Retail, CPG, and Logistics industries.
• Familiarity with information security awareness protocols, software security in the SDLC lifecycle, and OWASP Top 10 concepts.
  
  

Education Requirements

• Bachelor s degree: B.E./B.Tech/BCA
• Master s degree: M.Tech/MCA
• MBA preferred (Tier 1/2 business school)
