Job Description

Job Summary

The Manager BA works as Lead BA as part of an overall project. Overseeing the gathering analysis and documentation of business requirements to identify and recommend solutions that align with an organizations strategic needs. Their key duties include collaborating with stakeholders analyzing data and translating complex insights into actionable plans for decision making across various departments. The Manager role would expect to mentor and manage a team of up to 3 BAs.

Responsibilities

They also support the Product Lead and the development team in ensuring requirements are clearly understood prior to the beginning of coding. The Manager BA will have an in depth understanding of the product they are responsible for and can see the full picture understanding the needs of the business and the client in order to deliver an exceptional product.

Client Communication/Management

Day to Day client contact during requirements gathering build and UAT

Attendance on client calls where necessary to fulfil role

Escalations to Implementation Director as appropriate

Requirements Analysis (including new requirements change and defects)

Attend contribute to and sometimes drive client business discovery workshops

Understand and review client written Business Requirements Documents or complete internal BRDs and FRMs for sign off when required.

Seek to influence high level requirements by proposing / providing descriptions associated with existing Meritsoft capabilities to minimise client risk and promote standardisation

Work closely with the Product Lead to map requirements to existing product features encouraging functional re-use and development of common product solutions (not bespoke development/solutions)

Act as conduit to client to facilitate Q&A sessions

Work closely with the Product Lead to raise all work items in Confluence facilitating estimations and solution review from relevant Implementation team members

Development & Delivery

Conduct mapping of client data/third party data files into Platform Data structures

Provide internal business guidance during the build process either directly or as Client representative

Where necessary conduct analysis tasks required to support the development team in building new features

Support Product Lead in conducting client show and tell sessions

During UAT analyse issues raised by the client and identify defects v changes in requirements v misunderstanding of requirements

Support Product Lead in creating updated Product User guides based on new client requirements.

Other

Contribute where required to the sales and pre-sales process

Organise and attend client demos.

Work together with other Product leads Platform team Implementation team members to ensure the development of common product solutions.

Other adhoc projects as required to satisfy client commitments or company objectives
