About the Role: We are looking for a hands-on Business Analyst at the Assistant Manager level who can translate business needs into clear requirements and process documentation, and who will personally own our EVM (Earned Value Management) reporting as one of their core deliverables. This is not a purely analytical role, nor a purely oversight role — it requires someone equally comfortable in stakeholder conversations, requirements documentation, and hands-on delivery.


Responsibilities


  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and account teams to understand business problems and translate them into clear, actionable requirements
  • Write BRDs (Business Requirements Documents) that stakeholders can act on — precise enough for execution, readable enough for non-technical reviewers to sign off
  • Develop process maps and workflow diagrams for current-state and future-state processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Lead requirements-gathering sessions and workshops, probing beyond first answers to surface the real underlying need
  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams during solution design discussions
  • EVM Reporting (Owned Deliverable)
  • Own and maintain the EVM tracker end-to-end — Accounts Master, Recruitment/Transition Log, Milestones, Finance Actuals, and KPI tracking
  • Coordinate with account owners, Transition, and Finance to consolidate data inputs on a recurring cycle, escalating gaps rather than allowing them to persist
  • Build and maintain the summary dashboard with live, accurate formulas — not static snapshots
  • Standardize KPI definitions and weighting logic, and manage new KPI requests through a consistent intake process
  • Deliver a recurring, leadership-ready summary — the numbers paired with a concise narrative on what is driving them.


Required Skills:


  • Demonstrated experience writing BRDs, functional specifications, or comparable requirements documentation
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Blueworks) or structured equivalents
  • Advanced Excel skills — formulas, structured tables, data validation — with the ability to work confidently in large, multi-tab workbooks without introducing errors
  • Working knowledge of EVM and project controls concepts (planned vs. actual, weighted scoring, milestone tracking)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to hold multiple business owners accountable to deadlines and push back on incomplete inputs
  • Clear, structured written and verbal communication, given that this role produces documents and reporting that others rely on for decision-making.


Preferred Skills:


  • Exposure to Claude, Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
  • Familiarity with SQL or Power Query for data consolidation
  • Prior experience in PMO, or finance transformation, ideally within a multi-site services or facilities management business
  • Experience with requirements management tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
