The Business Analyst at Cayuse Civil Services plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders, project teams, and technical developers. This position involves capturing, analyzing, and translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements that guide project development and implementation. The Business Analyst will utilize Agile methodologies to facilitate efficient project delivery, ensuring that solutions align with organizational goals and add value to stakeholders. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote environment. The successful candidate will support the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and documentation to participating in Scrum ceremonies and supporting backlog management.

About The Role

Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Business Analysis, including eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business functions, processes, and requirements.
- At least two (2) years of experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, including writing user stories and managing product backlogs.
- Proven experience creating requirements documentation for complex projects.
- Ability to pass a background check; additional checks may be required based on project needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, business process improvement, and system design.
- Ability to respond effectively to customer needs with a sense of urgency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Acrobat.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and working independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Agile methodologies to analyze and document business functions and requirements effectively.
- Collaborate with management and personnel to identify, define, and document business needs, objectives, and operational procedures.
- Analyze the integration of business functions with existing technology systems.
- Perform or facilitate business and technical analysis to support project design and implementation for application development teams.
- Identify and document relevant business processes within legacy data systems to ensure seamless transition and modernization.
- Support the management and prioritization of the product backlog, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals.
- Create detailed user stories based on gathered requirements and capture technical specifications as needed.
- Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, including planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Assist in the development of test cases, acceptance criteria, and quality assurance activities.
- Engage in ongoing communication with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and transparency.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project success and organizational objectives.
