The role

A BPE: Transportation / Logistics is responsible for driving efficiency and optimization across end-to-end supply chain operations, including transportation, warehouse management, and inventory control. The role focuses on enhancing operational performance through data-driven insights, cost optimization, and standardization.

The expert defines, maps, and implements process improvements using methodologies such as TPM, ensuring streamlined workflows, regulatory compliance, and effective integration of logistics technologies and systems. Additionally, the role supports continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, enabling automation, and aligning processes with business objectives.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • End-to-End Logistics Management (Inbound & Outbound): Manage and optimize inbound logistics (vendor coordination, material planning, inbound transportation) and outbound logistics (order fulfillment, distribution, and last-mile delivery), ensuring seamless product flow and high service levels.
  • 3PL Collaboration & Governance: Act as the primary interface with third-party logistics (3PL) partners, ensuring alignment on SLAs, operational performance, inventory accuracy, and service delivery. Monitor 3PL performance, drive accountability, and resolve operational issues proactively.
  • Process Optimization & Design: Evaluate, map, and redesign logistics processes, including transportation planning, warehousing operations, and distribution networks—to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance cycle times.
  • Transportation & Distribution Management: Oversee carrier selection, freight optimization, route planning, and shipment tracking to ensure timely, cost-effective and reliable deliveries.
  • Warehouse & Inventory Operations: Drive efficiency in warehouse operations, including inventory control, stock accuracy, storage optimization, and throughput improvements across internal and 3PL-managed facilities.
  • Data Analysis & Performance Metrics: Analyze supply chain data to define and monitor KPIs such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full), transportation costs, inventory turnover, and order cycle time. Develop dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Systems & Tools Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in logistics technologies, including TMS (Transportation Management Systems), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Support system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and issue resolution.
  • Process Standardization & Documentation: Develop and maintain SOPs, process maps , and operational guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and adherence to global best practices.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and internal policies across logistics operations. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with procurement, sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to align logistics operations with business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement & Automation: Identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, digitalization, and cost optimization programs across logistics operations.

Experiences & Qualifications

We're looking for someone who

  • University degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related areas
  • 10+ Years experience in Transportation & Logistics
  • Strategic intent and passion for performance excellence
  • Proven track record in managing complex operating environment and with clear results delivery
  • Advances analytical skills combines with business savvy judgement skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent influencing skills with wide variety of senior stakeholders
  • Business Process design and management
  • Leadership experience and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
