Biomedical Engineer - Hospital

Biomedical Engineer manages and maintains medical equipment, conducts inspections and repairs, and ensures all devices are safe and effective for patient diagnosis and treatment. They also train hospital staff on equipment use, assist in the purchasing and installation of new technology, and perform routine maintenance to guarantee equipment is operational and meets regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

Equipment Management:

• Maintenance: Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on all clinical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
• Inspection & Calibration: Conducts regular inspections and calibration to verify devices are accurate and safe.
• Inventory & Logs: Manages equipment inventories and maintains accurate service records.
• Technical Support & Training:
• Staff Training: Provides instruction and training to nurses and other medical staff on the safe and effective use of various biomedical devices.
• Technical Guidance: Offers technical expertise and troubleshooting support to resolve equipment issues.
• Equipment Procurement & Installation:
• Evaluation: Tests and evaluates new medical equipment before purchase to ensure it meets hospital needs and regulatory requirements.
• Installation: Oversees and performs the installation, testing, and calibration of new equipment.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Safety Investigations: Investigates any incidents involving medical devices to determine root causes and ensure patient safety.
• Regulatory Adherence: Ensures all equipment and maintenance practices comply with relevant national and local safety and regulatory standards.
• Equipment Improvement:
• Modifications: Develops modifications to existing equipment to improve performance and patient interaction, conferring with users and manufacturers.
• Innovation: Contributes to the development of new devices and technologies to improve patient care and hospital efficiency.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
