Job Description
3D Modeling & Detailing
- Prepare 3D Models in Revit:
- Create 3D BIM models for Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) elements, including rebar detailing.
- Ensure accurate drawings extraction for construction purposes (plans, sections, elevations).
- Rebar Detailing:
- Integrate rebar details into the Revit model for accurate structural representation.
- 2D Drawing Preparation:
- Prepare general arrangement and detailed fabrication drawings in 2D for RCC elements.
- Ensure drawing consistency, including layer management, font size, and weld symbols.
- Implement BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
- Ensure adherence to the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) to standardize workflows and deliverables.
- Model Coordination:
- Collaborate with external agencies to ensure models are accurate and aligned with project requirements.
- Review and approve the Revit models and drawings provided by external agencies.
- Perform Clash Checks:
- Use tools like Navisworks for clash detection to identify conflicts between structural, MEP, and architectural models.
- Bracing & System Compatibility:
- Ensure that structural elements (e.g., bracing) and building systems (e.g., staircases, door openings) do not interfere with each other.
- Interference Coordination:
- Coordinate with inter-departmental teams (E&M, architecture, MEP) to resolve clashes and ensure compatibility before final submission.
- Drawing List Maintenance:
- Regularly update the drawing list to ensure it aligns with the final bill of quantities (BOQ).
- Ensure all drawings, including reference drawings, are kept up to date and are easy to access.
- Revision Tracking:
- Maintain a clear revision history for all drawings and BIM models.
- Distribute final approved drawings to the site teams and project stakeholders.
- Quality Checks:
- Conduct quality control to ensure that all drawings and models comply with structural standards, detailing codes, and project specifications.
- Approval Responsibilities:
- Review and approve all design changes, ensuring updated models reflect the latest project revisions.
