Job Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Billing and Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in managing invoicing, recording payments, following up on overdue accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. Proficiency in accounting software and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role, as you will play a key part in ensuring smooth financial operations and excellent customer relationships. Key responsibilitiesInvoicing & Payments Generate and send invoices to customers accurately and on time. Monitor customers' SaaS usage from the internal portal and ensure appropriate fees are added to invoices. Record payments received and reconcile them against outstanding invoices. Ensure all customer billing information is up-to-date. Collections Proactively follow up with customers for overdue payments via phone, email, or other communication methods. Maintain records of communications and ensure a high standard of customer service during the collection process. Work closely with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and issues. Expense Recording Record and track company expenses, ensuring they are categorized correctly and kept up to date in the financial system. Reporting & Compliance Generate periodic reports on payment status, outstanding invoices, and usage-based billing. Work with the finance and operations team to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Qualifications Proven experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable roles, preferably in a SaaS or subscription-based business. Familiarity with invoicing software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Xero) and proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to manage customer relationships professionally. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude towards resolving customer issues. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
