Company Description Elara Childcare Therapy Centre and Day Care is a child-focused facility located in BTM Layout 2nd Stage, Bengaluru. The centre offers a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive through structured and play-based activities. Elara provides a range of therapeutic services, including Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy, and sensory activities. The centre also supports children with Special Education, Daily Life Skills training, School Readiness programs, and full-day daycare services. The team works closely with families to create individualized plans that support each child’s developmental and emotional needs.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Behavioural Therapist based in Bengaluru South. The Behavioural Therapist will assess children’s behavioral and developmental needs, design individualized intervention plans, and deliver therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches. Daily tasks include monitoring progress, adjusting strategies as needed, and documenting session notes and reports. The role involves close collaboration with other therapists and educators to provide integrated support, as well as regular communication with parents and caregivers to share updates and offer guidance. The therapist will also contribute to school readiness and daily life skills programs, support transitions within the daycare environment, and maintain a safe, inclusive, and child-centered atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related field; formal training or certification in behavioral therapy or ABA is preferred.
- Experience working with children in therapeutic, educational, or childcare settings, preferably with developmental, behavioral, or learning differences.
- Strong skills in behavioral assessment, goal setting, and development of individualized intervention plans, with the ability to track progress and adjust strategies over time.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and families, including clear documentation and reporting.
- Ability to create a calm, safe, and engaging environment, with patience, empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a child-centered approach.
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage caseloads, therapy schedules, and record-keeping in a busy centre and daycare setting.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development, stay updated on evidence-based practices, and follow ethical and safeguarding guidelines
- SALARY
- 20k - 22k based on experience
