We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Power BI Developer to join our data and analytics team. This mid-level role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in data modeling, DAX, and backend integration who is passionate about transforming complex data into scalable, performant, and insightful Power BI solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust Power BI datasets and data models using DAX and Power Query (M). Collaborate with business stakeholders and frontend developers to translate reporting requirements into efficient backend data structures. Optimize data refresh performance and implement incremental data loading strategies. Integrate Power BI with various data sources including SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Dataverse, and REST APIs. Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all Power BI assets. Support version control, deployment pipelines, and workspace management in Power BI Service. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data accuracy, performance, and access. Required Qualifications: 3?5 years of experience in Power BI development, with a focus on backend/data modeling. Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL. Experience with Power BI Service, including workspace configuration and dataset management. Familiarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory) is a plus. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Power BI (e.g., using Azure DevOps). Knowledge of enterprise-level reporting and dashboarding standards. Exposure to Agile development methodologies. Microsoft Power BI certification is a plus.
