Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll build robust systems and APIs that collect, curate, and analyse diverse data types including physiological, behavioural, and neural signals from both human patients and trained canines. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable backend, designing data pipelines for real-time and batch processing, and ensuring seamless hardware-software integrations.

Your day-to-day will involve building APIs to handle EHR data, integrating with embedded and IoT systems through REST interfaces, and working with time-series databases like VictoriaMetrics, PostgreSQL, DuckDB, and SQLite. You’ll collaborate closely with research and hardware teams to process noisy, real-world sensor streams into clean, analysable data.
