Job Title: Backend Engineer Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications and services. You will play a crucial role in building robust, scalable, and efficient systems that support our web and mobile applications. Your work will involve collaborating with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable and reliable backend services and APIs. - Work with databases, ensuring data integrity and performance. - Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Maintain and improve existing codebases and contribute to code reviews. - Ensure security best practices are followed in application development. - Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose improvements to current systems. Skills and Tools Required: - Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as NodeJS, Python services - Experience with web frameworks like Django, Spring, Ruby on Rails, or Express.js. - Strong knowledge of database management systems, both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL). - Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. - Understanding of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. - Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Experience working in an Agile development environment. - Knowledge of software testing and CI/CD processes.
