Backend Development Internship

We are looking for a passionate Backend Developer Intern who wants to work on real startup products and build scalable backend systems. You will collaborate closely with the product and engineering teams to develop robust APIs, improve system performance, and implement real-time features that power the Upfound platform.

⚡ Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js
• Design and manage database schemas using Prisma ORM and PostgreSQL
• Build scalable backend services to support platform features
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs smoothly
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Debug, test, and optimize backend performance
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving backend architecture

🛠️ Primary Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Node.js and Express.js for backend development
• Experience with Prisma ORM and PostgreSQL
• Understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration
• Basic understanding of authentication and API security

⭐ Bonus Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience with WebSockets / Socket.io for real-time features
• Knowledge of Redis or RabbitMQ for caching or messaging
• Familiarity with TypeScript
• Understanding of Docker and containerized applications
• Exposure to scalable system design
