Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on, versatile Senior Backend Developer who can lead our backend engineering and help us build scalable systems from scratch. Youll work closely with the CEO, PM, and frontend team to architect robust solutions and accelerate development using best practicesand modern AI tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable backend systems using Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL.
- Design and document REST or GraphQL APIs to support multiple client apps.
- Handle deployment, environment configuration (Docker, GitHub Actions, CI/CD).
- Mentor junior engineers and optimize codebases using AI-powered workflows (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, CodeWhisperer, etc.).
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, and UI/UX to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL/MongoDB
- API design (REST/GraphQL), authentication, role-based access
- Git, GitHub, CI/CD, Docker
- Awareness of backend scalability, security, caching (Redis)
- Proficient in leveraging AI tools to speed up development and maintain clean code
- Exposure to serverless (Vercel/AWS Lambda), GraphQL
- Familiarity with project/task tools (Jira, Bitrix24, Notion)
- Independent thinker, communicates clearly, startup attitude
- Can operate with minimal supervision, handles ambiguity well
