Backend Developer (Python)

About the Role: We are looking for a talented Backend Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable and high-performance backend services using FastAPI, Python, Node.js, and working with databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB. You will play a key role in designing APIs, optimizing database interactions, and ensuring the reliability and security of backend systems. Key Responsibilities ? Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using FastAPI, Python, and Node.js. ? Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB to model data, write efficient queries, and optimize performance. ? Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver seamless and scalable solutions. ? Implement authentication, authorization, and secure data handling practices. ? Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following best practices. ? Identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities. ? Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture discussions. ? Stay updated on new technologies and contribute to improving development processes. Required Skills Experience ? Strong backend development experience with FastAPI and Python. ? Experience with Node.js, including building scalable APIs and middleware. ? Proficiency in working with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB, including schema design and performance optimization. ? Understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices ? Knowledge of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, etc. ? Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker is a plus. ? Experience with Git and version control workflows. ? Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to code quality and efficiency. ? Ability to work in an agile environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
