Job description Job description Position: Backend Developer- Python & Fast API Location: Remote Experience: 7+ years Type: Contract Role We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python and FastAPI. You will play a key role in designing and maintaining scalable backend applications, robust APIs, and efficient server-side logic. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in backend development, database performance tuning, and hands-on work with cloud technologies. Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend services using Python FastAPI Design and document REST APIs, and integrate third-party tools and services Work with MySQL: create data models, optimize queries, and ensure smooth performance Apply best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability Collaborate closely with Product, DevOps, and UI/UX teams to ship high-quality solutions Troubleshoot production issues, find root causes, and deliver reliable fixes Write clean, modular, and testable code that can scale with the business Requirements 7+ years of experience in backend engineering with Python Strong proficiency in FastAPI Solid experience with RESTful API design; familiarity with GraphQL and microservices Expertise in database schema design, query optimization, and ORMs Hands-on exposure to Azure or other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Agile workflows, and DevOps practices Strong analytical mindset and attention to data Industry.
