Job Description
Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python (Familiarity with GoLang is a plus. Architect and optimise systems handling large-scale user traffic and concurrent I/O operations. Implement and manage asynchronous task queues using Celery, RabbitMQ or AWS SQS. Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Databricks or Iceberg for efficient data storage and retrieval. Build and manage real-time systems using WebSockets (Socket. and async.io frameworks. Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to design APIs that scale efficiently on Kubernetes clusters. Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and performance optimisation for reliable, production-grade deployments. Work in cross-functional teams to deliver robust and maintainable microservice-based solutions. Requirements 4 8 years of backend development experience with Python. Strong experience with FastAPI (experience limited to Flask/Django will not be sufficient). Proven track record of building and deploying systems supporting 10k+ active users. Expertise in asynchronous programming and high-concurrency architectures. Hands-on experience with Celery, RabbitMQ or AWS SQS. Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Databricks, or Iceberg.
