Backend Developer - Node.js

Backend Developer (Node.js / NestJS / MongoDB)

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, NestJS, and MongoDB. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-learner with excellent communication skills and a passion for building scalable, high-performance backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and NestJS
• Build and optimize MongoDB schemas and queries for performance and scalability
• Develop and manage RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Ensure system performance, scalability, and security best practices
• Write unit and integration tests using Jest / Mocha / Chai
• Collaborate with frontend teams, designers, and stakeholders
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues
• Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code
• Stay current with evolving backend technologies and frameworks

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience with:
• Node.js & JavaScript
• NestJS framework
• MongoDB
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience with API Gateway concepts and implementations
• Familiarity with authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth)
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Ability to work independently and take ownership
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Good to Have

• Experience with:
• Docker / Kubernetes (containerization)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Messaging systems: RabbitMQ, Kafka, BullMQ
• Redis (caching)
• GraphQL / gRPC
