Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Back-End Developer: Z.Security, you will work in an agile, collaborative environment to design, code, debug, test, and deliver creative solutions to client problems and requirements in various security-related areas for IBM Z. You will employ IBM's Design Thinking to create solutions that provide a great user experience along with world-class quality, resiliency, security, privacy, integrity, and stability. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Design and Develop Solutions: Design, code, debug, test, and deliver creative solutions to client problems and requirements in various security-related areas for IBM Z, leveraging DevOps and industry standards.
• Leverage IBM Design Thinking: Employ IBM's Design Thinking to create solutions that provide a great user experience along with world-class quality, resiliency, security, privacy, integrity, and stability.
• Ensure Secure Code Development: Follow IBM Security and Privacy by Design requirements, including secure code development, security and privacy standards, industry and Z security recommended practices, threat modeling, and use of security-related tools.
• Collaborate with Team: Work in an agile, collaborative environment to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet client needs.
• Implement Industry Standards: Leverage industry standards and strategic technologies of the IBM z platform, including areas like cybersecurity, compliance, and hardware features exploitation.
  
  

Preferred Education

Master's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Upto 10 years of Working experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu/RHEL) in a Production Environment

Programming Skills

• GoLang
• Ansible / Terraform / Shell scripts for automation purposes
• Knowledge of working with REST API , gRPC
• Strong knowledge of Containers (for eg. docker / Podman etc) & related technologies like container registries, Dockerfiles, creating container images, deploying containers
• Strong working knowledge of Container Orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Strong knowledge of Linux basics including packing, package managers, working with system services, distro specific development
• Knowledge of working with Linux distros like Ubuntu
• Strong background in Software development with in-depth knowledge of Python, designing REST API and working knowledge of distributed services.
• Knowledge on Core Linux Development skills
• Strong skills in Github, ShellScripting(ksh/bash), containers and orchestration, system monitoring, Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline integration and end-to-end tests , playbooks and process automation.
• Understanding of container technologies like docker/ podman, Orchestration tools - Kubernetes openshift, Digital Certificate Knowledge.
• Good knowledge of Virtualization like hypervisor, Virtual Machines, BareMetal, Partitions etc and infrastructure/system management.
• Strong Technical leadership skills (achieving excellence through code quality and practices, architecture decisions, innovation)

• Knowledge of digital assets and how they work including blockchain / hyperledger fabric and similar frameworks

• General understanding of private /public / hybrid cloud concepts
• General understanding of HW servers and server components like CPU / core/ memory/sockets / adapters
• Logging/Monitoring (basic understanding and application)
