Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team on a freelance basis. In this role, you will work on building scalable backend systems, APIs, and data-driven applications that power AI-first products and operational platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build robust server-side logic and integrate with databases and third-party services.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and data teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing backend systems.
• Ensure security, data protection, and best engineering practices across applications.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language/framework such as:
• Python (Django/FastAPI/Flask)
• Node.js
• Java
• Golang
• or similar technologies.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, system design, and backend architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, version control systems, and deployment workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in AI/ML-driven products or data-intensive applications.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of performance optimization and scalable distributed systems.
