Job Overview

Twixor is seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our growing team in Chennai. This is a full-time, mid-level role suitable for candidates with up to 6 years of work experience. The Backend Developer will work on scalable systems supporting digital customer journeys for global enterprises, leveraging modern technologies within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications And Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java (Mandatory skill), with demonstrated ability to write efficient and maintainable code for backend business logic and APIs.
• Working knowledge of Spring Boot (Mandatory skill) to design and deploy RESTful services and microservice architectures in a production environment.
• Practical understanding of basic JavaScript (Mandatory skill) for backend integration or workflow scripting tasks as needed.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs for robust, reliable, and secure data exchange between systems and front-end applications.
• Proficiency in relational database management using MySQL or SQL, with strong query optimization and data modelling skills for scalable solutions.
• Experience working with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases to efficiently store and retrieve unstructured data suitable for modern messaging platforms.
• Familiarity with microservices design and deployment, ensuring fault tolerance, scalability, and ease of maintenance in distributed systems.
• Any exposure to chatbot conversation engines, natural language processing, or AI-driven communications will be considered a valuable advantage.
  
  

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications and microservices as part of Twixors customer engagement platform.
• Build, optimize, and document REST API endpoints to support seamless integration across messaging channels and external systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and QA, to deliver reliable enterprise solutions.
• Write efficient SQL queries and maintain database structures supporting structured and unstructured business process data.
• Implement business logic using Java and Spring Boot, adhering to clean coding practices and ensuring high reliability for production deployments.
• Integrate chatbot conversation workflows and leverage AI/NLP engines where applicable, enhancing automated communication experiences.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for mission-critical backend systems with strong attention to security.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvements in development approaches and platform scalability.
