Job Title: Backend Application Developer | Node.js | AWS | REST API

Contract Duration: 6 Months (Renewability based on the performance & business needs)

Working Location: TRX/Klang Valley

Working schedule: Office Hour (Monday - Friday)

Salary & Compensation: Basic Salary Up to RM 6,500 (based on skill and experience) + Statutory contribution + Leave entitlement + Medical insurance

Availability: Can start within July/August 2026

Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced Backend Developer to design, develop, and enhance backend services and APIs that support scalable business applications. In this role, you'll build backend solutions, integrate databases and cloud services, implement business logic, and support application deployment throughout the software development lifecycle.

You'll work with Node.js, Express.js, AWS services, PostgreSQL, and modern development practices to deliver reliable and high-performing backend applications, while collaborating on full-stack initiatives where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend services, REST APIs, and system integrations.
• Implement business logic, service orchestration, and data processing to support application functionality.
• Integrate backend applications with PostgreSQL databases and data pipelines.
• Build and maintain scalable backend components using Node.js and Express.js.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and error-handling mechanisms to improve application reliability.
• Support deployment activities, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production verification, and ongoing application enhancements.
• Collaborate with development teams using CI/CD pipelines, version control, and software testing practices.
• Work with AWS services, including Lambda and API Gateway, to support cloud-based applications.
• Contribute to full-stack development initiatives through exposure to React.js and TypeScript where applicable.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in backend or full-stack software development.
• Proficient in Node.js and Express.js for backend application development.
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Strong experience working with SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS services, including Lambda and API Gateway.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and software testing practices.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, application integration, and data handling.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to React.js and TypeScript within a full-stack development environment.
• Experience supporting application deployment, UAT, and production verification.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional software engineering teams.
