About the Role: Join as a Backend Engineer and own the architecture, development, deployment, and maintenance of highly performant backend systems. You?ll work with Java, Node.js, Kafka, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Redis, and SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) in a dynamic team culture that values hustle, agility, and taking on challenges, giving you the exposure needed to become a 10x engineer. Key Responsibilities: Feature Ownership: Architect, implement, deploy, and maintain backend features from concept to production. Code & Architecture: Develop robust, scalable services using Java, Node.js, Kafka, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and Redis. Data Management: Design and optimize SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), and NoSQL (MongoDB) queries and caching, Observability: Implement and monitor logs, metrics, and traces for high system reliability. Cloud Exposure: Opportunity to leverage AWS services; prior experience is a plus. Agile Development: Work in sprint-based agile teams, participating in planning, reviews, and retrospectives. DevOps & Automation: Contribute to CI/CD, deployment automation, and seamless releases. Desired Skills & Qualifications: 3-7 years of relevant backend engineering experience. Proficiency in Java and/or Node.js; hands-on with Spring Boot and Kafka. Experience with both relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL data stores (MongoDB). Strong knowledge of caching strategies and systems like Redis. Excellent understanding of software design, coding best practices, and testing. Familiarity with observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing). AWS services experience (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, etc.) is a bonus. Comfortable working with the end-to-end development lifecycle and production deployments. Adaptable to agile/sprint environments.
