Back End Developer

About the Role

Experience: 5–7+ Years

Location: Hyderabad

The role requires hands-on development, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to analyze existing APIs and implement best practices using AI Coding tool. Exposure to modern AI-driven SDLC practices is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js (Express)
• Build, enhance, and manage RESTful / GraphQL APIs with a focus on performance and security
• Understand and analyze existing APIs, and collaborate with teams to implement new API
• Work closely with architecture, DevOps, and product teams for solution design
• Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and security best practices
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, PI Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives)
• Integrate backend services with cloud platforms and enterprise systems
• Support troubleshooting, debugging, and production issue resolution

AI in SDLC (Expected Capability)

• Leverage AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI coding assistants) for development efficiency
• Contribute to AI-enabled practices such as:
• AI-assisted code generation and documentation
• Automated backlog refinement and sprint reporting
• Productivity tracking and optimization

Qualifications

• Backend (Primary Requirement)
• Strong experience in Node.js (Express framework)
• Expertise in API development (REST/GraphQL) with security best practices
• Experience with asynchronous programming and microservices architecture

Required Skills

• Database & Integration
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or NoSQL
• Experience integrating APIs with external systems and enterprise platforms
• Cloud & DevOps
• Experience with Azure
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerization
• AI & Modern Engineering
• Understanding of AI-driven improvements in the SDLC lifecycle
• Familiarity with automation in testing, deployment, and monitoring

Preferred Skills

• Frontend (Good to Have / Advantage)
• Basic to working knowledge of React.js, Redux, hooks, and component and front-end API Integration
• Understanding of modern frontend concepts is beneficial but not mandatory

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to collaborate across distributed, cross-functional teams
• Effective communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to mentor and guide junior developers

Must Have

• Experience with Microservices, Micro-frontend architecture
• Exposure to enterprise-scale applications and governance models
• Familiarity with internal developer platforms

Nice to Have

• Knowledge or experience of Python will be advantageous
• Eager to learn new technologies
