Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with 8+ years of experience in building scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs. The role involves working with modern cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices to deliver high-quality, production-ready applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Python
- Build scalable microservices and production-grade applications
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Optimize database performance and backend workflows
- Knowledge of distributed systems, message queues, async patterns
- Experience with caching and high-performance systems
- Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Python, React and SQL
- Experience with Flask/FastAPI/Django, REST APIs, and ORM frameworks
- Hands-on experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Azure backend services (App Services, Functions)
- Familiarity with testing tools like Pytest
- Strong backend API and System development experience
- Experience in designing application level domain and data models that frontends depend on, or mainly exp with building APIs and data services
Preferred Qualifications/Nice to have:
- Exposure to test automation frameworks, DevOps practices and ML concepts.
- Understanding of scalable architecture patterns and performance tuning.
- Certifications in cloud platforms or full-stack development.
